History

Five years ago,The Matura Resource Center for Learning Disabilities opened its doors under the name of Matura Community Homework Center. It was established by Ms Agnes Zone, a retired Librarian, and a few housewives, to initially offer primary and early secondary school students in our community a safe, quiet environment conducive to study.

Recognizing the increasing number of students with learning challenges – namely dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia that came through our doors, we expanded our mandate of bringing hope and help into the lives of these children, by connecting their parents with the resources, guidance and support needed, so they can advocate effectively for their children.
